Bummer email
I tried last week to get out some communication to no effect. This Italian computer refused to send anything, so I will try again today. We finally have a sunny day, but it is still cold with a high today of maybe 11. It was 86 degrees under the dodger, but the minute we stepped on the dock, we froze. Every day shows snow in the mountains just East of us on the weather map, but we haven't had any 50 knot winds for over a week, so Spring may be springing.
This morning we took Green Flash into town to explore. Jerry got a haircut and we bought a knife that we think will cut Italian bacon. We are going to try to take each one of the walking tours on our Rome walking map to check them out before Lu & Rick come to visit. We wanted to go to Pompeii, but that would require 2 days of driving & they will only be here for 5 days. There are so many wonderful museums, churches, ruins and history right here that I think we'll just try to cover as much of Rome & its environs as possible.
Jerry has installed 2 new lights in our salon and installed a new winch on the roller furler which was a major job. I'm anxious to get at the varnish, but it's still too cold. The newspaper reported 80 degrees in Vegas. Makes it sound really inviting.
