  Las Vegas

We are back in Las Vegas after spending a couple of months sailing on the Chesapeake or was it camping out in the rain. The Chesapeake is
beautiful, and we found that we could probably spend the rest of our lives cruising there as some people do. When it got rainy and cold, though, we
boogied. Grace is on the hard at the Blue Water Marina in Hampton where Jerry received a new lesson in pulling a boat. Unfortunately, it was easier
in Columbia than in Virginia. This wonderful new marina with its great equipment just didn't have the expertise, but Grace is safe if not warm.
My children's father passed away unexpectedly at the end of October.
I had planned on flying home and then returning, but our friend, Peter, sailed from Yorktown to Hampton with Jer and helped get Grace winterized. I feel like I have abandoned her to the cold and snow, but early next spring we will be raring to go.
The minute Jer walked in the door, he grabbed his little old wrecking bar. Before I could say "Wait a darn minute." he had the door jamb off-had
taken a couple of whacks out of the counter and grabbed a little piece of loose wallpaper and pulled. And I thought he was coming home to build a
patio. He said he wanted to start small and the smallest room in the house is the bathroom. We now have a beautiful granite vanity top-new lights-new wallpaper-wainsoting and a new wood floor ready to be laid. He has not stopped. Oops! Correction! Saturday we went to the football game in the afternoon and the philharmonic at night, church the next morning and Jer suffered-suffered through getting his picture taken for the church directory. He hasn't had time to prune the roses.
On Dec. 8, our friend, Michael is flying in from San Francisco on his way back to Belgium. We are very excited about showing him the best of Vegas, but haven't figured out how to do that in 2 days.
We plan on being here for awhile so if I don't break something skiing and Jer doesn't run out of things to fix you all know where we are.

Y'all Come
