  Fairweather Sailors

I hope you have received emails as we have been more or
less incommunicado for the last 2 weeks. The Chesapeake
is a black hole, albeit a beautiful black hole. We got
to Solomon's Island & cold, cold. We are warm weather
animals. We rented a car & drove through the greatest
countryside to Annapolis. My special niece, Carolyn,
drove down from Fairfield for the day. The next day
we returned for the boat show
where we spent our wad on all
new electronic charts which have completely goofed up
our system; we were elevated to paper charts only
today. One of our computers doesn't have enough
capacity & our Windows XP doesn't have a comport.
Such is life in the slow lane! It's a little harder
to see our way around the wrecks & obstacles, but
we are safely anchored in
Reedville. We just started following the Canadian geese
south.

We have a continuously changing plan because we
both have doctor's appointments in Nov. which the
doctors seem to think are very important, but we
feel great, so we would like to just keep sailing
somewhere. It's too cold here.We may fly home from
Norfolk because it is easy to catch a plane-go home-
check in-come back for further sailing or to work
on Grace or we might do something else?????
