| Grace uses email as
a primary means of communication.
We met Gary , an American who came to Colombia 40 yrs ago when he was
with the Peace Corps and his wife, Diana, a Colombian, when we went
to their restaurant, a Tex-Mex restaurant which had been recommended
by other cruisers. They had a big 4th of July celebration at the restaurant
complete with hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob, and the best homemade
apple pie ever.
We made the local paper with Jerry giving our friend Ray rabbit ears
because we didn't realize the photographer was from the newspaper. Just
shows you have to be on your best behavior all the time, but maybe they
used the picture because of the crazy Americans.
Diana had her own State Farm Agency & Gary had a
travel agency in the states for their careers and retired to Colombia
they opened this restaurant on the big eating street in Bocagrande.
Jerry is still doing well with
his surgery. We are getting everything buttoned up for the trip home.
I am looking forward to being able to do 2 handed kinds of things.
We are still looking forward to
Jerry's 30 day checkup on the 16th, putting Grace on the hard the 17th
and flying into Miami on the 18th.
