On The Go....

Grace uses email as a primary means of communication.

Ecuador is beautiful but cold. Who would have thought that the equator would require our cold weather clothes? I took my heavy clothing home last time thinking we wouldn't need it until we got up to New England.

This weekend we will have security from the Yacht Club stay on our boat at night as we are taking an 8 day inland trip. We will be in Quito Friday night for the ballet & art in the park. Then on Tues. we will drive the aisle of the volcanoes, the highest most active on this continent, take a train down the Devil's Nose & end up at an old town in the Andes, Cuenca. We will have travelled Central Ecuador; we will fly back to Quito on the 18th so I will not have access to this email. It is almost impossible to call from here-also very expensive. Our SAT phone refused to call across the Ecuadorean border. I will be checking in on our regular email from Quito if I find a cybercafe.

We planned on flying home from Panama for Christmas, but it seems unlikely that we will make it. We will probably spend Christmas with Seth & Lori in Panama City-go through the canal soon after Christmas & either leave Grace in Colon or in Cartagena, Colombia. We will probably have Thanksgiving turkey on the high seas.

It doesn't look like the Galapagos are in our plans at this time because it's a long way & we keep running out of time! Miss you all very, very much- Love-love-& lots more love
